Bacon Quiche Tart
This Bacon Quiche Tart combines the rich flavors of bacon and cheese in a buttery puff pastry shell. It's perfect for brunch, lunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheese Gruyere or Swiss
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
Roll out the puff pastry and press it into a tart pan, trimming any excess
Spread the cooked bacon evenly over the bottom of the pastry shell
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the bacon
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream
Season with salt and pepper
Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pastry shell
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top
Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing
Garnish with fresh chives if desired before serving
