Crispy Tofu
This recipe produces deliciously coated, perfectly crispy tofu cubes that are great as a snack or added to salads and stir-fries.
Ingredients:
- 1 block tofu, extra firm
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Cut tofu into cubes after pressing to remove excess water
Combine cornstarch, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl
Apply the mixture to the tofu cubes
In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat
Fry tofu cubes for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until they are crispy and golden brown
Tofu should be taken out of the pan and put on paper towels to absorb any remaining oil
Enjoy while hot!
