Snickerdoodle Cookie Waffles
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For Snickerdoodle Coating:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cream of tartar, and salt
In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay
Brush the waffle iron with a little melted butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking
Pour the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until the waffles are golden brown and crisp
While the waffles are cooking, mix together the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon in a shallow dish to make the snickerdoodle coating
As soon as the waffles are done, remove them from the iron and immediately dip them into the snickerdoodle coating, making sure to coat both sides generously
Serve the Snickerdoodle Cookie Waffles warm with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh berries
